3,000 Pounds of Marijuana Hidden in a Shipment of Watermelons

3,000 pounds of marijuana is worth nearly $1.5 million, and last Monday evening, 128 bundles of the cush was discovered in a shipment of watermelons. The produce was being transported by a 44-year-old Mexican man attempting to enter the United States at the Mariposa Commercial Port, only to be subjected to a non-intrusive X-ray of his Volvo truck.

Both the marijuana and tractor-trailer were processed for seizure and the driver was turned over to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.

I’ve heard of Vodka-infused watermelon, but bud-infused watermelon? Might have to see how that idea can come to fruition.
