When it comes to gingerbread houses, Discovery Cube’s Science of Gingerbread competition always presents the most memorable creations of the season. Count this show-stopping gingerbread In-N-Out by artist @evas.desserts as a top-tier example of the talent this competition offers. The delicious deets reveal an entirely edible entry that’s already a potential winner. Check out wafer paper used for the palm trees and isomalt taking the form of the windows. Yup, this gingerbread showdown is serious.

This year, Discovery Cube’s Science of Gingerbread competition is back and bigger than ever. Get ready to witness the seasonal magic as gingerbread architects, from budding builders to seasoned professionals, showcase their sugary masterpieces.

The event spans across Orange County and Los Angeles County, where gingerbread dreams will be crafted, critiqued, and celebrated. With categories ranging from Winter Wonderland, STEM-related wonders, and Cultural/Traditions, every gingerbread creation tells a unique story. If you think you’ve got the holiday spirit to craft a worthy gingerbread house to compete for over $3,500 worth of prizes, you can register to enter the Science of Gingerbread competition here. Folks can still participate in the competition until December 3.

Mark your calendars for the judging day on December 6, where imagination, detail, and craftsmanship will be under the microscope. And the excitement doesn’t end there, as judges and families will be treated to an exclusive Science of Gingerbread Awards event on December 8, a celebration of the future of science and creativity.

Stay tuned for the unveiling of this year’s gingerbread wonders and join us in celebrating the remarkable talent and ingenuity that turns sugar, spice, and everything nice into edible works of art.

The public is welcome to check out all the stunning gingerbread entries until January 7 at both Discovery Cube campuses in Los Angeles County and Orange County.
