Taco Bell Is Using HASH BROWNS To Make Their Creative New Taco Shell

Taco Bell’s innovations around the tortilla game are unending, it seems. Over the years, we’ve seen waffles, fried chicken, and even eggs turned into taco shells by the fast food giant. Now, the chain has another taco breakthrough up their sleeve: The Potaco, featuring a taco shell made from crispy fried potatoes.

According to Brand Eating, the shell of the new “Potaco” is made from potatoes and “Mexican spices,” and has the appearance of a folded hash brown. It is currently being used as the shell for a vegetarian taco, so it comes with lettuce, fiesta salsa, cheese, and “signature sauces.”

Currently, the hashbrown-like taco shell is only available in India, where you can get one for 99 rupees (just under $1.50 USD), but there’s always a strong possibility this could come to the United States. We’d definitely love to use the Potaco as the base for some dope breakfast tacos.
