Get Your Extra On With This 24 Karat Gold Ice Cream Cone

For a dessert literally worth their weight in gold, look no further than the 24 Karat Gold Ice Cream Cone at Snowopolis in Anaheim, California.

Priced at $14.95 — it’s real 24 karat gold, after all — this frozen treat also features a cone pre-sprayed with 24 karat gold dust, vanilla soft serve with actual edible gold blended into it, and is then covered in a delicate 24 karat gold leaf. In fact, the gold leaf is extremely fragile, so much so that they actually have to build it in a special container where no wind and outside movements can interfere with  the placements of the sheets.

Snowoplis’ ice cream became popular soon after the Kardashians posted a similar cone on their social media accounts that they got on an overseas trip. They had already made their cone before the Kardashians actually posted about them, though.

And for those concerned about eating gold, know that it is completely edible and safe to eat. As for the taste, it is hard to describe but it complements the vanilla flavor perfectly.

It was initially intended to only have this ice cream available for a limited time, however, due to its high popularity and sales, they have now kept it as a regular item on their menu.
