Dunkin’ Donuts to Give Away Free Donuts Today, Society Rejoices

For donut lovers, June 2nd is the holiday to end all holidays: National Doughnut Day. Plenty of shops and chains celebrate the holiday with special treats and offers, but no one does it quite like the pros. And by “pros,” we obviously mean the good people at Dunkin’ Donuts.

You only have to look at the company name to know that this is their day. And they mean business.

In the tradition of DD (this can mean Dunkin’ Donuts or Doughnut Day, up to you), the company is heralding the holiday by offering guests a free classic donut of their choice with the purchase of any beverage. The offer is good all day on June 2nd in-store and through On-the-Go Mobile Ordering at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide.

Oh no, that means you have to buy a coffee to get a free donut! (Kidding, what crazy person would be upset about that?) In fact, go ahead and buy yourself a Coolatta instead — it’s National Doughnut Day, so treat yo’ self.

But that’s not all folks. Dunkin’ Donuts is also celebrating National Doughnut Day with two new donut varieties featuring fun and colorful new sprinkle toppings.

The Vanilla Cake Batter Donut features vanilla-flavored cake batter filling, frosted with chocolate icing and topped with confetti sprinkles, while the Dunkin’ Donuts Sprinkles Donut is frosted with white icing and topped with pink and orange sprinkles shaped like the brand’s iconic “DD” logo. Both are available for a limited time at participating Dunkin’ Donuts, and there’s no better time to try them than June 2nd!

New donuts that you can also get for free? What a time to be alive.
