An Ohio Police Officer Bit Into A Sandwich And Got A Mouthful Of Glass

An Ohio police officer was taken to the hospital after biting into a sandwich and receiving a mouthful of glass shards.

According to the Associated Press, the man bit into the sandwich and heard a crunching sound as he ate. He then realized his mouth was bleeding and that there was glass in his sandwich. The officer was taken to the hospital for medical care and tests where he was held overnight.

Initially the restaurants name was withheld because of pending investigations, but WCMH-Columbus reported the restaurant as Lincoln Café  in downtown Columbus. The restaurant is still under investigation to determine whether the glass was intentionally placed in the officer’s sandwich, although the Columbus police tweeted that at this point they do not believe it was an intentional attack.

Columbus Public Health plan on visiting the restaurant to help figure out how the officer was served the sandwich and whether it was accidental or not.
