Taco Bell Officially Launches Its Delivery Service At More Than 200 Restaurants Today

As of today, Taco Bell will now officially launch their much anticipated delivery service at more than 200 locations in California (Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco) and Dallas, TX.

The delivery is made possible with an official partnership with DoorDash, an on-demand delivery service that works like Uber, but for your food. DoorDash already operates in 250 cities, and Taco Bell has roughly 6,000 locations in the U.S. alone, so it hopes to offer the delivery everywhere the two companies co-exist.

DoorDash typically charges a flat fee of $3.99 for delivery, plus an optional tip — and that’s it. We’ll be trying out the service later today, it looks like you can use the system for $1 on your first try. NRN notes that DoorDash typically negotiates a commission based structure with restaurant chains, which might mean some menu prices get marked up slightly.

Taco Bell’s delivery service is unfortunately not yet available via the Taco Bell mobile app, but it certainly looks to be part of their long term plan to incorporate the two once things get under way.
