5 Places to Get Free Coffee on New Year’s Eve/Day

This New Year’s Eve, many states are making sure you turn up in a different way. Whether it’s to stay awake until midnight or make it home at 4am, here’s how to get your caffeine fix for free on New Year’s Eve:

New York

For the 44th year, you can get hot tea or coffee along the New York State Thruway from 11pm to 7am at any rest stop.

Massachusetts

Massachusetts Department of Transportation is offering free coffee from 10pm to 5am at any MassDOT rest stop.

Ohio

Along the Ohio Turnpike, from 10pm to 7am, you can get coffee at these rest stop/service plaza vendors: APlus Convenience Store, Burger King, Hardees and McDonald’s. You can also snag some free coffee at Panera Bread, located at the Mahoning Valley and Glacier Hills service plazas.

Illinois

McDonald’s and 7-Elevens at most tollway oases (rest stops) will be serving free coffee from 9pm to 6am.

Cumberland Farms

The Hoff-tastic convenience store chain is offering free iced or hot coffee, tea, cocoa, and cappuccinos from 5pm to 5am.

Unfortunately, the West Coast is as late to the coffee train as it will be to the New Year.
