Carl’s Jr. April Fools Joke: Six Dollar Vegan Tofu Burger

Carl’s Jr. has joined in on the April First festivities, taking to their Facebook to announce The Original Six Dollar Vegan Tofu Burger. The burger utilizes lettuce, mushrooms, soy cheese, julienne carrots and “mouth-watering” tofu patties. The joke comes as a lighthearted acceptance of their branding, showing the completely ludicrous involved with the brand ever presenting a tofu option. Jokes on Carl’s Jr. if they choose to expand their healthy offerings, as they did began with their Turkey Burgers earlier this month. Who would believe them if they actually did want to launch and promote a vegan-friendly option?!

As one user, Jorge Sahagun commented on the image, “Wtf! Carls is known for meaty juicy burgers not hippie food!” Exactly what we’re talking about Jorge, exactly. Kudos on a great joke though!
