Southern California Brewery Just Tapped a ‘Cinnamon Roast Crunch’ Beer

Anaheim, CA-based microbrewery Noble Ale Works is setting a nostalgia play to toy with the heart strings of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal fans everywhere with their recent tapping of a Cinnamon Roast Crunch beer.

We were quick to the tit on this beer, and went down there last night to get a first hand sip:

The Cinnamon Roast Crunch offering is a spinoff of the brewery’s popular Naughty Sauce brew, a delicious milky sweet stout, infused with Guatemalan coffee, oats and milk sugar. Beer review site Beer Advocate currently rates the beer as a 94/100. New CR-crunch flavor takes the original Naughty Sauce and swirls in a layer of Saigon Cinnamon.

Those expecting an overpowering sweetness should look elsewhere. After tasting it, it definitely had the cinnamon notes, but the sweetness is an afterthought. Definitely more drinkable, less novel:

Not sure how long it’ll be available, but their tap menu is updated pretty regularly via their website.
