McDonald’s Romania Has Deep-Fried Cottage Cheese and Meatballs

mcdonalds-romania

While McDonald’s probably isn’t the best reflection of a culture’s food, deep-fried cheese and meatballs sound really freaking tasty. As part of what the chain is promoting as “Romania weeks,” these treats and others will be available through the end of May at locations in Romania.

New items include breaded and deep-fried cottage cheese triangles, pork meatballs, and a pork sandwich with horseradish mustard and pickles on a roll. That last one sounds pretty delicious, and I might have to book a quick flight over to try it.

There are also mini cheese pancakes, which are actually deep-fried sweet cottage cheese balls topped with ice cream and strawberry sauce. Definitely not mad at that.
