Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s Roll Out Fresh-Baked Buns

BakedBun

The days of generic buns appear to be over. Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s now use fresh-baked buns for their premium burgers. The fast-food chain tested the new buns around mid-October at select locations and plans on incorporating them on a national scale by Nov. 14. Customers will be able to substitute any bun from a regular burger for a fresh-baked one for an additional fee.

Could this be a game-changer? It does seem like a step in the right direction for the chain. Plus, foodies will definitely note the the difference “artisanal” bread can make on a sandwich.
