Starbucks Testing Beer-Flavored Latte — Gets You Non-Alcoholic Wasted

Just because everyone’s going crazy over Pumpkin Spice Lattes this holiday season doesn’t mean Starbucks is going to just chill and not hit us with new brew. Starbucks is testing a non-alcoholic drink with a very alcoholic flavor in select Florida (of course) and Ohio stores.

According to Grubstreet, Starbucks is calling it the Dark Barrel Latte. It consists of a dark caramel sauce, and a “stout flavored” sauce that’s supposed to taste like a “roasted malt.”

Starbucks said the drink was inspired by the “rise of craft beers.”

Of course, many have been intrigued and let their feelings be known on on social media.

Some liked the idea:

Some didn’t:

Maybe it’s just a random new flavor, or maybe they’re trying to get your taste buds used to the idea of them selling alcohol in its stores.
