The internet has been buzzing over the past week or so due to the discovery of Oreo Cadbury Creme Eggs. These chocolate shelled, Oreo creme-filled treats were something that everyone in the United States wanted — but weren't able to get — as these treats were revealed to only be available in the U.K. and Canada.

It turns out that the U.S. will be getting Oreo creme-filled eggs after all. However, they won't be made by Cadbury.

According to Thrillist, Oreo confirmed that their brand will be making an Oreo-creme filled chocolate egg. Called the Oreo Egg, this product will be made completely independently from Cadbury, and won't use Cadbury's signature chocolate or be a Cadbury product.

The Oreo Egg may not be from Cadbury, but I'm sure it will be just as tasty regardless. We'll be able to find out for ourselves in mid-February, when these treats make it to the United States.

We're a little sad that we won't be getting the Cadbury version for now, but are looking forward to trying Oreo's unique version of the UK classic.
