Police Caught One Of Los Angeles’ Most Brutal Serial Killers With A SLICE OF PIZZA

There’s an HBO documentary debuting next Monday about a notorious suspected serial killer who police and media stopped giving a crap about. Turns out that as soon as police decided to give a crap about him, they were able to snatch him up fairly easily using some pizza.

They call him the ‘Grim Sleeper’ and he’s been suspected of killing at least 10 people in the Los Angeles, Calif.-area since 1985.

According to OC Weekly, the way Lonnie ‘the Grim Sleeper’ Franklin Jr. got caught back in 2010 was at John’s Incredible Pizza in Buena Park, Calif., celebrating the birthday of a family member.

I know, it reeks of an episode of Criminal Minds.

They suspected that Franklin might be attending the birthday party, so they put an undercover officer to buss tables at the pizza place.

I know what you’re thinking. You’d think story ends with the officer spotting Franklin, tossing kids out of the way, tackling him and reading him his rights, but that’s not how they got the Sleeper. The man alleged to be the Grim Sleeper left some unfinished pizza, which the undercover officer promptly gathered. It was used to try and match DNA samples other crime scenes he was suspected to have a hand in. Sure enough, the man really was the Sleeper and police scooped him up a couple days later.

The Grim one tried to fight the case by saying the pizza gathering was illegal. Yeah, that’s probably not going to work. We’ll find out his fate this summer as the trial begins.

He learned the hard way that you always eat ALL THE PIZZA. Smh.
