This Brewery Just Made A Doggie-Friendly Craft Beer

What better drinking buddy than “Man’s best friend”?

According to the Indy Star, Indiana brewery Flat 12 Bierwerks has made a dog-friendly, non-alcoholic beer so you and your doggie can enjoy a cold one while watching a game at the bar.

The dog beer concept made sense to the brewery, as all the employees had dogs and probably always wondered what it’d be like to enjoy a cold one with their four-legged pals.

The ingredients in the beer consist of meat bone trimmings, carrots, potatoes, and brewer’s yeast. Just like a real brew, they let the stock simmer for three hours before and throwing it in a keg.

The brew crew has tested the beer on their dogs, whom apparently love it, and have even tasted it themselves, saying it tastes like beef broth.

We’ve seen special beers made for doggies before when Bowser Beer made a six pack back in 2012, but Flat 12 plans to have their brew on tap.

Best of all, they’ll be giving the earnings from this beer to local animal shelters.

So enjoy a brew with your pooch, you both deserve it.
