International Burger Day kicks off on May 28, and to celebrate, Yelp has ranked the top 2025 burger chains. Those included have over 100 locations in multiple states and are primarily listed under the category of “burger.”

In-N-Out Burger landed in the top spot with more than 119,000 Yelp reviews across more than 400 locations. Fans can’t get enough of its seemingly innumerable amount of secret menu and customizable options. The Habit Burger Grill earned second place for its open flame cooking style, fresh ingredients, and vegan-friendly options.

Shake Shack rounds out the top three, with 5,800 reviews for its original New York location. And, its Theatre District outpost landed on Yelp’s 2023 list of Top 100 Burgers in America. The Midwest-based chain Culver’s soared to number 4 with its customizable ButterBurger and innovative limited-time menu offerings.

Islands Restaurants won the fifth spot for offering a menu of Hawaiian-inspired burgers, like the popular Maui Burger, spicy Kilauea and the veggie-friendly Shorebird.
