This One of a Kind Burger Makes Pastrami Jam a Thing

Pastrami Jam Burger Wise Sons Jewish Deli

I’ve had quite a few pastrami burgers in my time, but when I heard Wise Sons Jewish Deli in Culver City, California had a Double Pastrami Cheeseburger that featured pastrami jam, I did the whole blinking white guy meme as a reflex. Like excuse me, what exactly is pastrami jam?

It all starts with Wise Sons’ housemade pastrami getting cooked down low and slow with onions and brown sugar until what remains is a literal spread of unctuous, smokey goodness that accompanies a stout and cheesy burger. The inclusion of this meaty magic makes for an extra oomph of beefiness that no other pastrami burger out there could deliver.

The Double Pastrami Cheeseburger is exclusive to the Culver City location of Wise Sons and joins other standout sandwiches like the creative Kimchi Reuben, which is also a memorable bite itself.

Sure, Wise Sons serves up the Jewish deli requisites like bagels, smoked salmon, and latkes — which are all outstanding as well — but it helps to have one of a kind creations like the Double Pastrami Cheeseburger and Kimchi Reuben to differentiate itself from other similar joints.
