What a Starbucks Grande Latte Costs Around the World

While some of you may still be amazed by the audacity of a $47.30 Starbucks drink, here are a few more numbers to really bring the caffeine craze home. According to the latest data on WSJ, a standard grande latte would run you $9.83 in Oslo, Norway, while in New Delhi, India it would be just $2.83. The reason for the disparity? The purchasing-power of a dollar depends largely on geographical location. While the US dollar may be undervalued in a country such as Norway, it has more buying value in other locations such as India. Although, it’s worth mentioning that Starbucks is seen as a luxury in some countries, a social aspect that may affect the price as well.
