Tostitos Turns Elote Into Its Latest Chip Flavor For 2026
Globally inspired street food isn’t slowing down anytime soon. If anything, it’s becoming the blueprint. According to new 2026 research from Mintel and Black Swan Data, consumers are gravitating toward snacks with layered heat, bold seasoning, and flavors that tell a cultural story, not just fill a bowl.
Tostitos is clearly paying attention.
The brand just kicked off 2026 with its first innovation of the year, Tostitos Mexican Street Corn, a chip built around the flavors of elote, one of Mexico’s most iconic street foods. Think corn-forward crunch layered with creamy sour cream notes, savory spices, and a bright hit of lime. It’s familiar, but dialed in. The kind of chip that works straight out of the bag, but also feels intentional enough to anchor a dip spread.
Alongside the new chips, Tostitos is also expanding its dip lineup with two fan-favorite additions.
The Jalapeño Popper Flavored Dip, which previously appeared as a limited mystery flavor tied to Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building Season 5, is officially joining the permanent lineup. It blends cream cheese, sharp cheddar, jalapeño heat, and smoky bacon flavor into something that feels less novelty and more game-day staple.
Rounding things out is the Smooth & Cheesy Dip, made with real cheese and built for maximum scoopability. It’s rich, velvety, and exactly what you want when the goal is to keep things simple without sacrificing flavor.
Taken together, Tostitos’ early 2026 moves feel less like random flavor drops and more like a clear read on where snacking is headed. Global inspiration, crowd-friendly formats, and flavors that feel just elevated enough to matter.
