The Handycan: Easy-Crush Can Design

It may not look it, but this design is a double-header. Not only does this concept make cans easier to crush for recycling purposes, it’s grooves protect you from the perils of a beer-induced butter finger-related faux pas. That’s really just my obnoxious way of saying you can grip your can better.

In any event, it’s definitely an innovative design from Arman Emami, creating a can with grooves that are adapted to the dimensions of the average hand. The compressible can was designed in the hopes of reducing empty can volume to save costs in transportation to the recycling station.
