Blaze Pizza Enters The Protein Chat With A New ‘Protein-zza’

Blaze Pizza is officially entering its protein era.

As more diners look for high-protein, GLP-1-friendly ways to eat without giving up flavor, Blaze is rolling out a limited-time menu item that reframes pizza as fuel: the Protein-zza.

Launching January 7, the Protein-zza starts with a cauliflower crust and piles on shredded mozzarella, a double portion of grilled chicken, onions, mushrooms, and fresh basil, finished with a buffalo sauce drizzle. The result? 56 grams of protein per pizza, or just under 10 grams per slice—numbers that put it squarely in the “this could double as post-gym food” category.

The Protein-zza joins Blaze’s already protein-forward lineup, including the fan-favorite Carnivore Pizza, which delivers 60 grams of protein on the brand’s scratch-made dough. That one leans fully into the meat-heavy lane, stacking pepperoni, julienned ham, and crumbled meatballs with a balsamic drizzle on top.

Blaze’s real advantage, though, has always been customization. As a build-your-own concept, the chain makes it easy to “protein your way,” whether that means loading up on chicken, sausage, pepperoni, meatballs, or plant-based options, then finishing strong with sauces and drizzles that keep things craveable, not clinical.

“Today’s guests want meals that work for their lifestyles, whether that means prioritizing protein or eating more mindfully,” said Blaze Pizza CMO Casey Terrell. “The Protein-zza shows you don’t have to sacrifice flavor, choice, or indulgence to do that.”

For anyone chasing protein without abandoning pizza night, Blaze is making a clear case: this doesn’t have to be an either-or.

The Protein-zza will be available for a limited time at participating Blaze Pizza locations nationwide.
