Taco Bell May Soon Add Coronas and Alcoholic ‘Twisted Freezes’

When we heard that a Taco Bell in Chicago, Illinois had applied for a liquor license, our imagination ran wild. Well, we have to imagine no more, because we know exactly what that Taco Bell is planning to sell.

According to Thrillist, the Taco Bell wants to sell “Wicker Park Specials,” which will consist of a couple beer options and Twisted Freezes. The Twisted Freezes were described as “Frozen beverages featuring vodka, tequila and rum.” Sounds a lot like the margaritas we were making when Taco Bell gave us a freeze machine.

The beer they plan to sell is Corona, of course, and a draft from a local brewery.

They aren’t going to have a full bar, but they will serve the boozy items at a separate counter within the restaurant.

Last week, a Taco Bell rep said that they were not aware of any alcoholic beverages, so it doesn’t sound like they’re planning on making this a nationwide thing yet, but it’s a good start.
