Taco Bell Can’t Handle the Heat of ‘Flame Ass’ Doritos Locos Taco, Launches ‘Fiery’ DLT Instead

Taco Bell, this is why we can’t have nice things.

First you go around telling us that the next Doritos Locos Taco flavor will be “Flamas,” then go and name your new DLT after something that isn’t an actual Doritos flavor. Maybe it should be renamed “Definitely Not a Doritos-Flavored Doritos Locos Taco”? Hmph.

It’s not like Taco Bell CEO Greg Creed told the world back in December that he expected “a Flamas-flavored taco to be introduced in the latter half of 2013.” Was this statement made to intentionally confuse fans or does Taco Bell just get pleasure out of crushing our hopes and dreams?

Regardless, this “Fiery” Doritos Locos Taco nonsense will roll out nationally starting August 22 at $1.39 for a regular and $1.69 for a supreme. Expect a flavor profile of “spicy chili with a hint of lime” in the shell, as well as major disappointment that instead of biting into a badass Flamas, you’re getting a boring ol’ Fiery fellow.

Come on, admit it, Taco Bell. The shameless honesty of naming your next DLT “Flame Ass” got a little too real, and ya’ll couldn’t handle the heat.

Hopefully, some day we can be friends again.
