The popular sitcom “Friends” introduced “eating pants” into the pop culture zeitgeist and now the good folks at Southern Comfort are raising the stakes.

In honor of the upcoming Thanksgiving Eve (when people usually drink to prepare for their families), SoCo recently announced its first foray into fashion with Drinking Pants. These one-of-a-kind line of unisex custom trousers were engineered specifically to make your holiday comfy.

“The pandemic changed nearly everything about daily life, including making comfy-casual attire not only acceptable – but tasteful,” said Sara Saunders, Vice President of Global Marketing for Sazerac. “Southern Comfort wants to lead the way on tasteful choices so we conducted a host of detailed market research and that led us to an important conclusion: pants today are missing a few crucial elements that would improve lives everywhere, a key one being a shot glass pocket.”

The stylish clothing includes two important upgrades to your traditional lounge pants — an incognito shot glass pocket and a reversible, all black “fancy pants” option for the classists. When reversed, the fancy Drinking Pants can be worn to a formal family Thanksgiving Day dinner to impress even the most critical of relatives.

Available for sale via www.southerncomfort.com/drinkingpants, the Drinking Pants are priced at $11.23.
