Shake Shack Bringing Back Iconic Crinkle Cut Fries

The crinkles are coming. Less than a year after announcing they were swapping out their famous crinkle cut fries for natural cut fries, Shake Shack has announced that the prodigal fry is returning this fall.

Shake Shack CEO, Randy Garutti explains that the company underestimated just how much Shake Shack fans loved their crinkle cut fries:

We didn’t fully appreciate the simple, tactile pleasure and the emotional attachment our fans have to the crispiness, the ridges and pure joy that these fries bring to guests of all ages.

Because the company believes in constantly improving themselves, they’ve also announced that the return of their beloved crinkle cut fries will also bring a better fry. Shake Shack is ditching any artificial ingredients and scoping out only the most primo potatoes that farmers have to offer to ensure the crinkles 2.0 are even better than fans remember.

Most fans are stoked to have their iconic frozen crinkle cut fries back since those gorgeous ridges hold onto Shake Shack’s cheese sauce deliciously well, but others will miss the fresh cut natural fries.
