The Extremely Unsanitary Way NYC Street Vendors Prep Coconuts [WATCH]

Nuts 4 Nuts is a staple food cart found on almost ever street corner in the NYC area. Famous for its honey roasted peanuts, cashews, almonds, coconuts and pecans, the cart has been around since 1993.

Live Leaks uploaded a video that might make you cringe if you’re a fan of Nuts 4 Nuts. The video not only shows that the recorder needs to learn how to flip his phone horizontally, but also shows a vendor breaking open his coconuts on a wet street corner.

While rugged New Yorkers might not care, that kind of coconut care probably wouldn’t fly with the health inspector.

Whatever. It’s a $3 snack. You get what you pay for.
