Restaurant Receipt Gets Racial, Calls Customers ‘You F***ing Mexicans’

A couple dining at a Denver restaurant Friday said their receipt kind of racially profiled them as it read, “You fucking Mexicans.”

According to 9News, El Valle Mexican Restaurant said it was a playful message meant for the cooks in the back, but it accidentally made its way to the a Denver couple.

When the couple showed the receipt to the waitress, she nonchalantly dismissed the receipts message and thought it was kind of funny.

Beatriz Castonera didn’t think it was very funny though. Castonera posted the photo to El Valle’s Facebook page even went back looking for an explanation and apology. She got that apology and was refunded the meal.

The employees at the restaurant are Mexican, and a lot of the restaurant’s clientele is Mexican, so it sounds like it was just a stupid joke that wasn’t directed at the couple in particular.

She was right in complaining though, at least to get a free meal out of it.
