Meet the World’s First ‘Smart Vodka’
Vodka just got a tech upgrade.
Amoon Spirits has launched what it calls the world’s first smart vodka, an ultra-premium spirit paired with an interactive bottle that lights up, spins, and syncs to an app. Crafted in New York’s Catskills Mountains, Amoon blends small-batch vodka with a patented system designed to turn every pour into a visual moment.
The bottle docks onto a Vortex Control Unit (VCU), which powers an internal stir bar to create a swirling vortex while customizable LED lights pulse and glow. Through Amoon’s app, users can control lighting colors, vortex speed, and preset light shows.
Founded by longtime friends Mark McLaurine II and Christopher Tooley, Amoon took six years to develop. The duo set out to reimagine the social drinking experience, positioning the brand as part of a new category it calls “connected spirits.”
Beyond the tech, Amoon emphasizes its vodka is still the star, calling it clean, smooth, and crafted for easy sipping. The brand plans to expand the platform with future spirits, app updates, and interactive features.
Amoon’s lineup includes a full smart system ($249.99), a VCU-compatible replacement bottle ($49.99), and a classic non-connected vodka ($39.99). The smart vodka is available now via AmoonSpirits.com and ReserveBar.com.
Vodka may not need Wi-Fi—but here we are.
