McDonald’s To Release Its First Organic Burger In October

There’s something about using “McDonald’s” and “organic” in the same sentence that just feels wrong, but McDonald’s Germany announced the release of the chain’s first ever organic burger.

They’re going to call it the McB, and will be available in German McDonald’s stores as soon as Ocotber 1, but will only be around until November 18.

The golden arches is using meat from organic farms from not just Germany, but Austria, and will use swanky sounding toppings such as Edam cheese, Lollo Bionda lettuce, and sunflower-seed buns, per QZ.

McDonald’s hasn’t had the greatest luck lately, having to close down 700 of its restaurant worldwide this summer, and feeling they have to convince us their food isn’t sketchy through Mythbuster-style videos.

If this thing works out in Germany, who knows, maybe it’ll make its way to the US soon.
