McDonald’s Malaysia Shocks The Internet With XXL Fries

In honor of International French Fry Day last week, McDonald’s Malaysia went all out with a massive portion of fries. And it’s the kind of size upgrade that actually deserves its own holiday.

Dubbed the Fan Fries Meal, this glorious carb celebration came stacked with an extra-wide box of fries made to be shared—or, let’s be real, devoured solo. The meal was part of a limited-time offer meant to show love to MCDonald’s fry fans across Malaysia.

“We know how much Malaysians love our fries—it’s never enough! That’s exactly what inspired the McDonald’s Fan Fries Meal,” said Chin Mei Lee, McDonald’s Malaysia chief marketing officer. “We wanted to create something truly memorable that brings people together over the one item they can never resist.”

While the promo has already wrapped in Malaysia (pain), there’s still hope. With enough online thirst—petitions perhaps—this supersized serving of fries could end up on menus worldwide. I mean it has to. The people need it!
