Krispy Kreme Adds Collection Of Lemonade Doughnuts For Summer
Krispy Kreme is going all in on the summer fruit vibes for their 2021 limited donut collections so far. After bringing back Key Lime for a brief respite recently, the doughnut giants are adding a collection of fried dough treats flavored with lemonade.
At the center of the lineup is a new Lemonade Glaze, a zesty coating that enrobes each of the four new doughnuts Krispy Kreme has to offer. These include a regular Lemonade Glazed, a glazed doughnut filled with Lemon Kreme, a Strawberry Lemonade doughnut with strawberry and lemon icings, and a Pink Lemonade cake doughnut topped with lemon butter cream and a pink sugar.
Krispy Kreme has been playing heavy into the fruit flavors recently, with Lemonade, Strawberry, Pina Colada, and Strawberry all hitting the menu as of late. Considering that fruit-stuffed doughnuts are quite popular at the moment, it makes sense that Krispy Kreme is capitalizing on the buzz.
It’s clear that fruit and donuts are trending for the chain right now, although it would be cool to get some fresh produce inside one of the collections to come.
