Kinda Cool: Sonic Doing Garlic Parmesan and Bacon Cheese Bread Buns

For a limited time, America’s Drive In is performing a bit of kitchen wizardry by sprinkling cheddar and parmesan on top of their hot dog buns before baking. Crazy, we know. Because apparently nothing goes better with half-price Sonic summer milkshakes than “cheesy bread dogs: Cheese that’ll bring you to your knees.”

Two concoctions comprise the line-up this time around. There’s an Ultimate Cheese & Bacon CBD, a beef dog artfully bedazzled with cheddar cheese sauce and bacon bits. And then there’s the Garlic Parmesan CBD; same treatment, but with garlic parm sauce and grilled onions.

Normally we’re not too crazy about such minor (and such uninspired) upgrades, but we figure this is the closest we’ll get to deepthroating a cheese-flavored condom. Don’t pretend you wouldn’t be excited too.
