KFC Canada Introduces First Winterized Basketball Court

Did someone say fried chicken, eh?

For years, Canadians have rallied behind their undying love of KFC and their infamous buckets, so how does KFC repay their loyal Canucks? In the most KFC way possible: by introducing the first winterized basketball court in Toronto, Canada.

Aptly named the KFCourt, this outdoor playground has everything a basketball player could dream of:

  • Pre-warmed basketballs to beat the winter chill
  • A rotation of DJs on designated Friday and Saturday nights courtesy of LiveNation
  • A warming center, stocked with heaters and refreshments, courtesy of Pepsi
  • KFC samples on specific days
  • UberEats discount codes for future KFC orders

This one-of-a-kind sports instillation is now open and available for reservation through February 22nd. KFC will be donating specified court times to local basketball community groups and all other times are open and free to the public, snow or shine.

Not only do participating players have access to heated basketballs, heated courts, and heated refreshment areas, but they can also don a custom, limited-edition Number 11 Puffer Jersey, an ode to The Colonel’s 11 herbs and spices. Get it?

As part of this 360-campaign, KFC is offering crave-worthy game night offers. Through the KFC App and on KFC.ca, consumers will save $5 when they spend $25 on game nights, starting February 13. KFC’s Buckets Are Life campaign can be seen and heard through high impact Out of Home, TV and OLV, partnerships with The Scarborough Shooting Stars, The Raptors Show on Sportsnet, BarDown on TikTok, and The Score, and across KFC Canada’s Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube channels.

Go grab a puffer, a warmed basketball, and a bucket of your favorite chicken now, all while getting buckets on the KFCourt.
