This In-N-Out Location Closed Down After Potential Norovirus Incident

Say it isn’t so. Sad news coming from the Livermore front as an In-N-Out location there had just been shut down.

According to International Business Times, patrons of the fast food chain became ill after visiting the California location earlier this week. Nine members of a college softball team, who had grabbed some burgers at the restaurant, became sick with what health officials believe to be the norovirus. Because of this, the restaurant decided to voluntarily shut itself down until they figure out exactly what happened.

You may remember that same virus as the one that toppled Chipotle’s rising empire in the past few years. Hopefully, this isn’t the case.

In-N-Out’s Vice President of Operations, Denny Warnick, said in at statement that customers’ health and well-being is their number one concern.

He also added that the location will reopened once they are sure there are no further problems with the restaurant and that he apologized for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Details have yet to be revealed as to the actual cause of these illnesses, but we’ll keep you posted when the news develops.

While the company advises regulars to steer clear of the restaurant until further notice, it seems customers are ready to return happily as soon as the dust settles.
