Downtown Long Beach’s Amazing Race Draws Foodies and Curiosity

In an effort to promote the downtown Long Beach, CA area, the Downtown Longbeach Associates have come together to put together the Downtown’s Amazing Race, a nod to the television show of a similar name. The race, scheduled for Saturday April 23rd, will ask its participating teams to take part in a challenging race that’s physical, intellectual and daring.

While very little was divulged about the race itself in order to keep its contestants ready for anything, event representatives let us know that a good amount of food would be involved, and the event has prizes and promotional support from several prominent local eateries:

For those in the Long Beach and Orange County areas, this might be an interesting way to spend your saturday and get involved with some fun people and get to interact with some great local eat. More information is available on the event website, and who knows…a certain food publication that rhymes with Nude Yeast might be involved with the race!?
