Cupcake Confiscated by TSA

According to BoingBoing, a woman named Rebecca wrote that while she was at Las Vegas International Airport, she was stopped by the Transportation Security Administration for having a Red Velvet Cupcake in a glass jar. The unnamed agent would not let Rebecca continue because the cupcake’s frosting was so “gel-like” that it was more so considered to be a liquid, thus requiring it to be stored in a plastic bag.

It sounds like the agent was trying to be more safe than sorry, still, such a shame to have to sit through an airplane ride without a cupcake to munch on…or in this case…slurp on?
