At some point, Super Bowl food stopped being about nourishment and became a full-contact sport for your clothes.

Chicken wings are the main culprit. Americans will eat more than 1.4 billion of them on Super Bowl Sunday, which sounds impressive until you remember that every wing comes with a tax: sticky fingers, ruined jerseys, and at least one couch cushion that will never recover.

Cup Noodles thinks it has a workaround, and it doesn’t involve wet wipes.

For football’s biggest weekend, the brand is releasing three limited-edition ramen flavors inspired by classic chicken wings: Spicy Buffalo with Ranch, Lemon Pepper, and Garlic Parmesan. Same flavor lane as your favorite wing order.

This isn’t Cup Noodles trying to replace wings. It’s Cup Noodles acknowledging a very real truth: wings are delicious, but they’re also inconvenient. They require commitment. Napkins. Coordination. And a willingness to accept collateral damage. Ramen, on the other hand, just asks for a fork and a little dignity.

Each flavor borrows its personality from the wing world. The Buffalo version brings heat with a cooling ranch finish. Lemon Pepper leans sharp and citrusy, the way it should. Garlic Parmesan goes heavy on savory comfort.

All three wing-inspired flavors will retail for $1.18, with pre-orders opening January 14 and availability beginning January 21 exclusively on Walmart.com before rolling out in stores nationwide.
