Cotton Candy Tacos: When Unicorns Make Mexican Food

It’s 2019, and apparently we’re going to be using cotton candy as vessels for ice cream now.

Jake’s Unlimited in Mesa, Arizona is using cotton candy as giant “taco shells,” filling them with three scoops of ice cream, sprinkles, gummy bears, and anything else your My Little Pony-loving ass desires.

It is essentially a cotton candy sundae, as the final toppings consist of whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, and a cherry on top. Of course.

If you’re thinking this clearly Mexican-inspired dessert is a tad bit extra, it’s all in good fun, as Jake’s Unlimited is basically a permanent carnival on steroids.

Jake’s opened two years ago, and is 90,000 square feet of arcade, laser tag, bowling, bumper cars, and a menu that also consists of Cotton Candy Martinis, for the adults who have to chase their kids around for hours in this Home Depot-sized fun house.

In all, this looks like an dynamic venue, and this Cotton Candy Taco is the little cherry on top, with just enough sugar to give you a second wind to keep jumping into those bumper cars.
