Chick-fil-A’s New ‘Daybright’ Cafe Might Be Their Answer To Starbucks
Earlier this month, Chick-fil-A teased a new spinoff cafe concept called “Daybright,” and yesterday the doors officially opened to the public. Located at 4326 Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway in Hiram, Georgia, we finally have a look at the exclusive menu, which features signature coffees, fizzies, iced teas, and smoothies, along with donuts, quick bites, and more.
McDonald’s attempted a similar sidequest with “CosMCs,” a beverage-focused restaurant concept that closed after just two years. The reason being, according to critics at least, is that it didn’t align with the McDonald’s brand. With Daybright, Chick-fil-A has taken another approach by creating a completely distinct brand. Let’s dive into the menu offerings.
There are four signature coffee styles to perk you up: Cold brews, protein coffees, hot and cold lattes, and classic coffee fare. Cold brew flavors include sweet and salty coconut, “seaside honey” topped with honey cold foam, and a dairy-free maple cinnamon, to name a few.
Three protein coffee flavors will keep you fit and energized, along with five latte options, including two non-dairy brews, and the “La-Tea-Da,” which blends whole milk with hibiscus tea, topped with edible glitter. Each coffee style is available in three sizes, and the standard milk can be swapped for non-dairy varieties. You can spruce them up with house-made cold foams, protein cold foams, and syrups, too.
Fruit-flavored fizzies include peach green tea and passionfruit coconut, and others. There is a yuzu lemonade and a yuzu black tea, one of seven iced teas. And on the smoothie side, you can add whey or protein. Flavors include Jam Sesh, made with raspberry, oats, blueberry, banana, flaxseed, coconut milk, and orange juice, swirled with coconut cream, and four other selects.
Daybright donuts, of which there are seven, feature 6 grams of protein. Food-wise, if you’re looking for something light, there’s avocado and egg stuffed into English muffins, along with whipped peanut butter and raspberry. Big bites, which Daybright calls “Hot Takes,” include a breakfast sandwich and a breakfast burrito, bacon and potato-topped egg bites, and a chocolate brioche with vanilla custard. The menu also has stuff for kids, fresh-pressed juices, and to-go options.
Daybright is open Monday to Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Click here to see the full menu.
