Is “The Cherry Bomb” Carl’s Jr.’s Latest Milkshake?

This window cling advertisement at a Costa Mesa, CA Carl’s Jr. location reveals a new addition to the chain’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream Shakes & Malts line, The Cherry Bomb Shake. From the looks of the image, the shake seems to utilize cherry flavored ice cream in conjunction with chocolate chunks throughout. If the shake receives a further roll-out to more locations, it will join the ranks of the brand’s other flavors: Chocolate Malted Crunch, OREO, Chocolate, Strawberry and Vanilla.

Further information from a CKE Restaurants representative revealed to us that the Test Flavor is available at several Orange County units. As they do with other tests, the product usually runs through several weeks of a limited run in 6-12 locations, gathering customer research and analyzing sales info to see if it makes the grade for a greater rollout. For anyone in the area, let us know what you think of the new shake!
