A Whole Roast Pig Station Fuels Runners At This Marathon

Water stations are a crucial part of any marathon, keeping runners well hydrated throughout the race. While that may provide much-needed aid to help them keep going, a half marathon in the Philippines has another strategy to incentivize runners: a lechon station.

This wild strategy was used during the Sugar Rush Half Marathon in Pamplona, Philippines. Viral footage of the whole roasted pig station captured runners catching a breather and some crispy pork during the race. Essential proteins to help fuel the body, right?

If a whole roasted pig is enough to make you want to go for a run, check out the Sugar Rush Half Marathon Facebook page for more info.

Please tell me there’s a Lipitor station along the race route, too.
