Wingstop Expands Its Hot Honey Era With Three New Flavors

Winter may be here but the food industry is heating up. The swicy trend is on another hot streak—and Wingstop is tripling down on the trend by expanding its hot honey lineup with a triple threat, dubbed the Hot Honey Trio.

Consumer demand for sweet and spicy flavors has been building since the early 2020s from Thai Chili Pepper Ice Cream to hot and spicy snacks and beyond.

Wingstop entered the heated discussion in 2022, with the introduction of its first classic hot honey rub as a limited-time offering. After sequential returns driven by consumer demand, the flavor earned its permanent spot on menus in 2024.

Here’s the scoop on the new flavors:

  • Hot Honey Rub – the classic dry rub delivering balanced heat and sweetness.
  • Saucy Sriracha Hot Honey – a fiery, saucy take on the OG, kicked up with sriracha heat.
  • Sweet Garlic Hot Honey – a savory-sweet choice layered with garlic, honey and a touch of familiar heat.

“Hot Honey fans are passionate, and we wanted to give them more ways to indulge,” said Michael Skipworth, President and CEO of Wingstop.

Fans looking to add some swice to their life can get their hands on the trio while supplies last by visiting any Wingstop location or by ordering through the Wingstop app.

If the hot honey trio follows the trajectory of the OG flavor, it’s possible we can expect these sweet editions to make a permanent return. Until then—which one is your palate burning to try?
