Nutella Peanut Is Coming, And It’s the Brand’s First-Ever Flavor Flip

Nutella is an iconic flavor that’s remained unchanged since 1964. Now, for the first time ever, owner Ferrero is introducing a new flavor innovation: Nutella Peanut. Debuting Spring 2026, it blends the classic cocoa hazelnut with roasted peanuts.

As a fan of the OG, I must admit I’m excited to try the new flavor. Roasted peanuts sound like the perfect pairing. It reminds me of the peanut butter and chocolate spread Jif released last year, which was a pleasant surprise.

According to Ferrero, it took five years to develop Nutella Peanut, which means that we’re in for a treat. In an interview with Food Dive, Seth Gonzalez, senior director of marketing, said, “Nutella sales have nearly doubled since 2020.” The confection maker is betting it will add to the brand’s growing popularity.

Nutella Peanut will go great on crackers, with desserts, or atop waffles and French toast. The downside? We’ll have to wait until next year. The Upside? Nutella Peanut is part of Ferrero’s year-long innovation timeline, which includes Ferrero Rocher chocolate squares, Butterfinger Marshmallow, and Dr Pepper-flavored mint Tic Tacs, hitting stores this year.
