Over 100,000 Tamales Are Prepared For This Ultimate Tamale Festival

Tamale szn will soon be upon us and that’s definitely something to be thankful around the latter half of the year. For many of us, the comfort of enjoying tamales while surrounded by loved ones during the holiday season is exactly the vibe we look forward to.

Now imagine that prospect turned all the way up, with the amount of tamales numbering over 100,000 and will be accompanied by fun activities, musical acts, and all around holiday fun. If you’re as intrigued as I am by that scenario, then the legendary Indio Tamale Fest is for you.

Over 50 tamale vendors will be descending on Indio, California from December 1 -4 to serve up delicious and unique iterations like Autentica Birria Michoacana served on an open face tamal, Coconut Pineapple Tamal, Pepper Jack & Roasted Chile Tamal with Pasilla Green Sauce, Red Mole Tamal, and more.

The Indio Tamale Fest will be celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, so its sure to be a deliciously memorable festival where everyone’s going to leave with all their tamale-loving dreams fulfilled.
