Guy Breaks Beer Carrying World Record, Makes It Look Way Too Easy

beer carrying world record

When you and the squad hit up the bar, you need one member who can bring all the beer simultaneously. This man, who just broke the beer carrying world record, would be a great mate to have for that scenario.

According to DW, German waiter Oliver Strümpfel recently broke the record at the Bavarian Gillamoos Fair. Strümpfel, who had the record already at 25 steins, needed to carry the beers 40 meters in total. Additionally, he couldn’t spill more than 10 percent of a single beer for it to count.

With those restrictions set, Strümpfel comfortably broke his old record, carrying 27 in his first attempt and a staggering 29 steins on a second try. He went for 31 in that second effort, but lost two en route. Fortunately, he still had enough to easily eclipse his previous mark.

To put his beer-carrying feat into perspective, 29 steins of beer weighs in at approximately 154 pounds. That’s a whole lotta booze to carry around. Strümpfel trained three to four times a week in the gym for at least six months to break his record, and plans to do it again next year.

It’s unclear as to whether Strümpfel received any rewards for his beer carrying world record. However, he’s definitely got a spot in my squad lineup any time, just as long as he carries the beers.
