This Starbucks Barista Learned Sign Language For This Beautiful Reason

Just as bad customer service gets critical attention, outstanding customer service deserves major kudos and recognition as well.

Ibby Piracha of Leesburg, Virginia was just going through his usual Starbucks routine when he received a touching note from one of the Baristas last Friday.

The note read:

“I’ve been learning ASL just so you can have the same experience as everyone else.”

Piracha is deaf, as his Twitter handle @DeafIbbyPiracha subtly points out, and to his surprise, the Starbucks cashier asked him, “What do you want to drink” in sign language.

Piracha told ABC News that he usually writes out his order through text and then hands it to the cashiers, but thanks to him and other deaf customers, the barista decided to learn some sign language on YouTube so she could communicate with them more effectively.

The sweet gesture led to Piracha posting a photo of the note throughout his social media accounts, leading to more than 15,000 Facebook likes and 4.090 shares.

That type of customer service deserves ALL the money in the tip jar.
