McDonald’s Is Testing Smaller & Simpler Build-Your-Own-Burger Stations

McDonald’s is back to testing its customizable burgers. The fast food company recently made its “Create Your Taste” platform available for patrons to create burgers based on their personal preferences.

While some enjoyed the ability to craft their perfect burger, others took a fair amount of advantage of the system. Now, it appears that McDonald’s Corp. has begun testing a simpler variant with the new TasteCrafted machine. Compared to the original model, TasteCrafted should make things much quicker and simpler for the kitchen staff to execute.

The new machines can currently be found in Atlanta, Oregon and California, NRN reports. Drive thru’s at these establishments are will also feature the TasteCrafted machines.

Items include a more fixed menu which features burgers and chicken sandwiches in four different styles.

Apparently the new machines will also cost restaurants much less compared to the original Create Your Taste platform.

McDonald’s is still set to reveal the plans of its new plan to turn things around.
