The Cupcake Slam Dunk

With everyone’s mind on the upcoming Super Bowl Weekend (today’s friday, does this count as part of the weekend?), my inner basketball mind is straying towards the NBA All Star Weekend out in LA just a few short weeks away. Got me thinking, it’s unfortunate that Gerald Green of the 2008 Slam Dunk Contest didn’t get the proper overall notoriety that he deserved.

For those unfamiliar, the young man leaped up to the rim, blew out a candle on a cupcake, and slammed the ball home. While the dunk was amazing, he was seemingly overshadowed by the Superman Dwight Howard. Oh well, enjoy the show:
