Sizzler and Wienerschnitzel Set to Launch Food Trucks

Thanks to some information from Nancy Luna of the OC Register, we are now privy to Wienerschnitzel and Sizzler restaurants plans to venture into the mobile food truck market. While Wienerschnitzel is no stranger to a mobile environment (note: Weiner Mobile and Weiner Wagon), the more interesting development is Sizzler’s foray into the budding gourmet mobile food industry.

Expecting to launch in Southern California early January, the Sizzler food truck is exploring the idea of serving food on a So. Cal. military base and around various public venues through the LA and OC areas. According to OCR and Sizzler’s company spokesperson Brad Ritter, the yet-to-be-finalized menu will consist of “Choice Aged Tri-tip steak, slow roasted and served on a fresh baked roll with BBQ sauce, Pork Sliders and Fish-n-Chips, along with a number of sandwiches and salads”.
